“Idiots are not responsible for what they do. The real guilt falls on rational people who sit on their hands while the morons run wild. You can opt out if you want to. Play it safe. But if you do, don’t complain when the roof comes down.”

About 10 years ago, my wife and I used to go around to religious discussion forums/chat rooms and bait the Christians (Insert joke about master baiting skills). One site was particularly fun “Paltalk” (an audio chat room) we hit gold when we ran into Bob Larson, who is one of the famous evangelical exorcists. He proceeded to try to exorcising me of my demons & he kept asking my wife what was happening. I was eating a sandwich at the time and began choking because I was laughing so hard. She told him I was shaking and choking. Larson told her that was the demon fighting to stay in my body. Eventually I managed to clear my throat, apparently demons look a lot like a chewed up peanut butter and jam sandwich. That was one of my brushes with the famous, maybe someday I’ll tell you about taking leak with George Bush.

Hi guys. thanks for the shout-out and for that story about the supermoon and the Titanic. Special request, please oh please stop the uninformed Chinese references. Many in the West see China as a megahive of homogenous hard-working and suppressed only-child short people. It’s not. There are 90-odd ethnic groups, it’s economy is in many ways less socialist than e.g. England. It Has credulous and Sceptic, religious and atheist, lazy and diligent. It’s as complex as Africa or Europe in many ways. Also Shanghai’s population is only about 23 Million – less than 1/2 RSA. Please keep it real – you do with virtually all the other topics and if you ever want to talk skepticism/superstition/TCM in China – I’d be only too happy to help.
